Summary
This study tested whether cannabidiol (CBD), a compound from cannabis, can reduce anxiety in people with social anxiety disorder. Sixty adults were randomly assigned to take a high dose, a low dose, or a placebo pill twice daily for three weeks. Researchers measured anxiety using questionnaires, stress tasks, and brain scans to see if CBD changes how the brain processes fear.
