Hope for seizure relief: CBD tested on kids with untreatable epilepsy

NCT ID NCT02556008

Summary

This study tested whether adding a purified form of CBD (cannabidiol) oil to existing medications could help reduce seizures in children with severe, drug-resistant epilepsy. It involved 25 children aged 1-17 who had not responded to other treatments. Researchers tracked seizure frequency and safety over time to see if CBD provided benefit when used alongside standard anti-seizure drugs.
