Could CBD be a safer painkiller after surgery?

NCT ID NCT06234631

Summary

This study is testing whether a daily dose of cannabidiol (CBD) can help people use fewer opioid pain medications after knee replacement surgery. Researchers will give 380 participants either CBD or a placebo before and after their operation to see if it reduces pain, inflammation, and anxiety. The main goal is to measure how much opioid medication people need in the 28 days following surgery.
