First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looked at whether cannabidiol (CBD) can safely help people who are being treated for opioid addiction and also have chronic pain. Seven adults on methadone or buprenorphine received different doses of CBD or a placebo in a controlled setting. Researchers measured safety, pain sensitivity, and drug cravings to see if CBD could be a helpful addition to standard treatment.
