First seen Jan 30, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tests whether cannabidiol (CBD) capsules can safely reduce agitation in people with Alzheimer's disease. About 40 participants aged 55 and older will receive either CBD or a placebo, then switch treatments to compare effects. The goal is to find a new way to ease distressing symptoms and identify biological markers that predict who benefits most.
