Labor catheter study aims to prevent Post-Birth bladder problems

Summary
This study is testing which of two common methods for emptying the bladder during labor with an epidural is better at preventing urinary problems after birth. Researchers will compare leaving a catheter in place versus inserting and removing one every few hours. They want to see which approach leads to fewer cases of difficulty urinating and fewer urinary tract infections in the weeks and months after delivery.
