New catheter design put to the test: is it gentler on your bladder?

NCT ID NCT05224544

Summary

This study aimed to understand if a new catheter design with many tiny holes is gentler on the bladder lining than a standard two-hole catheter. Researchers compared the two designs in 43 healthy female volunteers by looking inside the bladder before and after use. The goal was to gather information to help improve future catheter designs for people who need them regularly.
