Summary
This study tested a new program called CATCHES for people who had a stroke and are afraid of falling. The program combines physical therapy exercises at home with cognitive behavioral therapy to reduce fear. 30 adults who had a mild to moderate stroke and had low balance confidence took part. The goal was to see if the program is feasible and if it helps reduce fear of falling and improve physical activity.
