New lens study aims to sharpen vision for complex cataract patients

NCT ID NCT07321756

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether special lenses that correct both cataracts and presbyopia (age-related blurry near vision) can help people with additional eye structure issues, like a loose lens or past eye surgery. About 320 adults will get these lenses during cataract surgery, and doctors will use advanced imaging to ensure precise placement. The goal is to see if patients get better vision at all distances and are happier with their sight, without needing glasses.
