New cataract surgery technique aims for quicker clear vision
NCT ID NCT07407049
Summary
This study compares two different cataract surgery techniques to see which one helps patients see better in the first day after surgery. Researchers will randomly assign 128 adults (ages 50-90) with age-related cataracts to receive either intracapsular or supracapsular phacoemulsification. The main goal is to determine if performing the ultrasound energy inside the lens capsule leads to better early vision recovery compared to the more common approach.
