Eye surgeons probe: does tool placement during cataract surgery change healing?

NCT ID NCT07550907

First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study watches 300 cataract patients during surgery to see if where the surgeon places the phaco tip (above the lens, at the iris, or inside the lens) changes how the cornea heals and how quickly vision improves. Participants get special imaging during surgery and follow-up eye tests. The goal is to find the best technique for faster, smoother recovery.
