Cataract surgery clarity: does tool placement speed up recovery?
NCT ID NCT07550907
First seen Apr 24, 2026 ยท Last updated Apr 24, 2026
Summary
This study watches 300 adults (ages 50-90) having cataract surgery to see if where the surgeon places the ultrasound tip inside the eye changes how the cornea heals and how quickly vision improves. Participants get special imaging during surgery to track the tip's location, and doctors measure corneal thickness and cell health afterward. The goal is to learn which technique leads to the best early outcomes, not to test a new treatment.
