First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether a single steroid injection given during cataract surgery works as well as standard steroid eye drops to control inflammation afterward. 72 adults aged 50 and older having routine cataract surgery took part. The goal was to see if the injection could reduce the need for frequent eye drops, making recovery easier.
