Study aims to simplify Post-Surgery eye care for diabetics

NCT ID NCT04977427

Summary

This study aimed to compare two different eye drop treatments for controlling inflammation after cataract surgery in patients with diabetes. It planned to test if a single, long-acting insert (Dextenza) was as effective as a four-week schedule of standard steroid eye drops (prednisolone). The goal was to find a more convenient option that patients might find easier to use correctly, but the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
