New eye lens aims to restore clear vision near and far
NCT ID NCT05627700
Summary
This study tested a new type of artificial lens (the AVL200) for people needing cataract surgery who also have trouble seeing up close (presbyopia). Nine participants had the lens implanted during their standard cataract operation and were followed for one year to see how well it improved their vision at different distances and to check its safety. The goal was to see if this single lens could help people see clearly far away, at intermediate range, and up close without needing reading glasses.
