New lens strategy aims to free cataract patients from glasses
NCT ID NCT07168109
Summary
This study is testing a new approach to cataract surgery for people who are also very nearsighted. Researchers want to see if implanting a specific type of lens, set up in a 'monovision' style (one eye for distance, one for near), improves distance vision without glasses compared to the standard method. The goal is to help patients see better at various distances and become less dependent on glasses after surgery.
