New cataract lenses aim to free patients from reading glasses

NCT ID NCT06891092

Summary

This study aims to see which of two new types of artificial lenses works better for people having cataract surgery in both eyes. The lenses, called RayOne EMV and Vivinex Impress XY1-EM, are designed to improve vision for everyday tasks like reading on a phone or tablet, not just for distance. Researchers will measure vision quality in 100 participants before and after surgery to determine which lens provides a better range of clear vision.
