NCT ID NCT07425626
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study uses a special light-based device (Brillouin microscope) to measure how stiff the eye's lens becomes with cataracts. Researchers will compare these stiffness measurements to standard cataract grading and the energy needed during cataract surgery. The goal is to better understand cataract properties, not to treat them. About 50 adults scheduled for cataract surgery are participating.
