New eye implant aims to put the brakes on cataracts

NCT ID NCT05026632

Summary

This study is testing a tiny implant placed inside the eye to see if it can safely slow down the worsening of cataracts in people who have had vitrectomy surgery. It will involve about 30 patients who already have some cataract and are scheduled for this specific eye procedure. Researchers will measure changes in the cloudiness of the eye's lens to see if the implant works.
