First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at 1,206 children aged 3 to 11 who had heart surgery early in life. The goal is to find out how many develop learning, thinking, or behavior problems, and to search for genetic clues that might link heart and brain development. No new treatment is tested; instead, researchers aim to better understand and detect these challenges early.
