First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested whether a sponge containing carvacrol (a natural compound from oregano) could reduce pain after a gum graft procedure. Thirty healthy adults scheduled for gum graft surgery received the sponge on the roof of their mouth. Researchers measured pain levels and healing over six weeks. The goal was to see if this simple addition could make recovery more comfortable.
