Steroid shot study: does diabetes slow hand pain recovery?
NCT ID NCT07433257
Summary
This study aims to see if a common steroid injection for carpal tunnel syndrome works differently for people who also have type 2 diabetes. Researchers will observe 60 patients with mild-to-moderate carpal tunnel, half with diabetes and half without, after they receive the same injection. They will track pain, hand function, and nerve measurements over 12 weeks to compare recovery.
