Diabetes slows hand healing? study tests common injection

NCT ID NCT07433257

Summary

This study aims to see if people with type 2 diabetes recover differently from a common steroid injection for carpal tunnel syndrome compared to people without diabetes. Researchers will observe 60 adults with mild-to-moderate carpal tunnel, half of whom also have well-controlled diabetes. They will track pain, hand function, and nerve health before the injection and for 12 weeks after to compare the recovery process between the two groups.
