First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study is looking at whether the texture of the carotid artery wall, seen on an ultrasound, can help predict the risk of heart problems in people with type 2 diabetes. Researchers will compare 80 adults with diabetes to healthy controls, measuring artery thickness and texture patterns. The goal is to find a better, non-invasive way to identify who needs more aggressive preventive care.
