Eye-Opening: Carrot-Like supplements may boost retinal health, new study suggests

NCT ID NCT07314411

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at whether taking a daily carotenoid supplement (like those found in carrots) can improve eye health in healthy adults aged 18-75. Over 3 months, researchers will measure changes in the retina's protective pigment, blood flow, and vision sharpness. Participants will take either the supplement or a placebo pill and attend three visits for non-invasive eye tests.
