First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests a middle school science curriculum called CARES4You that teaches students about cancer risk and healthy choices. About 1,800 students in 10 New York City public schools will take part, with some schools using the program right away and others later. Researchers want to see if the lessons help students plan healthier behaviors and talk more with their families about cancer prevention.
