Summary

This study looks at whether giving caregivers hands-on practice plus a video to review at home can lower their stress and improve their knowledge and skills for caring for a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tube. About 54 caregivers will be randomly assigned to either the special training or standard hospital instruction. Researchers will measure stress, knowledge, and skill levels before, right after, and two weeks after training.
