Summary

This study will see if a rapid test (SPOTFIRE) can help doctors make better treatment decisions for children with respiratory infections in the emergency department. About 720 children aged 2 months to 18 years will be randomly assigned to either get the rapid test or standard care. The goal is to improve recovery, reduce unnecessary antibiotics and X-rays, and increase parent satisfaction.
