Fainting fix may come at a cost: new study tests exercise limits after heart nerve ablation

NCT ID NCT06440291

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how a procedure called cardioneuroablation (CNA) affects exercise performance in people who faint due to a sudden slow heart rate. CNA stops certain nerves from slowing the heart too much, but it might also make the heart beat faster during exercise. Researchers will measure exercise capacity using a special test before and one year after the procedure in 100 patients.
