Zapping nerves vs. pacemakers: battle to stop fainting spells

NCT ID NCT06166277

Summary

This international study is observing which of two procedures better controls recurrent fainting spells (vasovagal syncope) in younger patients. It compares a nerve ablation procedure (cardioneuroablation) that modifies heart nerve signals to a standard pacemaker implantation. The goal is to see which approach more effectively reduces fainting episodes and improves quality of life for people whose symptoms aren't helped enough by medications.
