Can a quick ultrasound training boost emergency heart care?

NCT ID NCT07159269

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a short, hands-on training program can help emergency department staff (like nurse practitioners and physician assistants) learn to use heart ultrasound at the bedside. About 75 providers will take part in simulation training and then use ultrasound on real patients under supervision. The goal is to see if the training is practical and helpful, which could lead to faster and better heart care in emergencies.
