Heart procedure waste weighed: recycling could slash environmental cost
NCT ID NCT07106437
Summary
This study measured and sorted all the trash produced during different types of heart procedures at a Swiss hospital. Researchers compared two disposal methods: one where all waste is treated as hazardous medical waste, and another where waste is separated for recycling. The goal is to understand the environmental and financial impact of each approach to find more sustainable practices.
