Kitchen spices vs chemo sickness: can simple scents ease the agony?
NCT ID NCT07318779
Summary
This study aims to see if inhaling the scents of cardamom or peppermint oil can help reduce the severe nausea and vomiting that often comes with chemotherapy for cancer. It will compare the two scents in 39 adults who are receiving specific chemo drugs. The goal is to find a simple, non-drug method to improve patients' comfort and help them eat better during treatment.
