Summary

This study tested the chemotherapy drug carboplatin in 16 men with advanced prostate cancer that no longer responds to hormone therapy. The cancer had specific gene changes that might make it sensitive to this treatment. The goal was to see if carboplatin could shrink tumors or lower PSA levels.
