First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looks at whether drinking a special carbohydrate drink just before major urologic surgery can improve recovery and blood sugar control. About 30 adults without diabetes will be randomly assigned to get either a specialized sports drink or a standard one. Researchers will track blood sugar during and after surgery, and compare complications and hospital stay length between the two groups.
