NCT ID NCT06831500

First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at whether changing the amount of carbidopa relative to levodopa in Parkinson's medication can reduce a common side effect: a sudden drop in blood pressure when standing up (orthostatic hypotension). It includes 36 adults with Parkinson's disease or multiple system atrophy (parkinsonian type) who already take these drugs and experience dizziness or fainting. The main goal is to see if a larger, more definitive trial is possible by checking how many people join, stick with the study, and provide complete data.
