Engineered immune cells target hard-to-treat blood cancer

Summary

This study tests a new treatment called CART-ddBCMA for people with multiple myeloma that has come back or not responded to at least three prior therapies. The therapy uses a patient's own immune cells, modified to attack cancer cells carrying a protein called BCMA. The main goal is to see how many patients respond to treatment, with 136 adults expected to take part.
