Engineered immune cells attack advanced bladder cancer in new trial

NCT ID NCT03185468

Summary

This trial tests a new type of immune cell therapy called 4SCAR-T for people with advanced bladder cancer that has spread and who have run out of standard treatment options. Doctors take a patient's own immune cells, modify them in a lab to better recognize and attack cancer cells, then infuse them back into the patient. The study aims to see if this approach is safe and can help patients live longer while monitoring how well the modified cells work in the body.
