Engineered immune cells join forces to fight leukemia

NCT ID NCT03984968

First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests a new approach for adults with a specific type of leukemia (Philadelphia chromosome-positive B-ALL). It combines two types of engineered immune cells: CAR-T cells that attack cancer, and 'feeding' T cells that help the CAR-T cells grow and stay active longer. The goal is to see if this combination is safe and can lead to a complete molecular response, meaning no detectable cancer genes. About 40 participants will receive up to four cycles of this therapy after standard chemotherapy.
