Scientists test 'Reboot' of immune system to halt diabetes
NCT ID NCT07395050
Summary
This is a very early, small safety study to see if a new cell therapy is safe and possible to make for people recently diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Researchers will take a patient's own immune cells, modify them in a lab to potentially stop the attack on insulin-producing cells, and then give them back. The main goal is to check for side effects and see if making the treatment is feasible, not to cure diabetes at this stage.
