Scientists test 'Universal' cell therapy for stubborn blood disorder

Summary
This early-phase study is testing a new type of cell therapy called QT-019C in adults with a hard-to-treat form of immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), a disorder where the immune system attacks platelets. The main goal is to check if the treatment is safe and to look for early signs that it might help raise platelet counts. Researchers will give the treatment to a small group of 10-27 people who have not responded well to other standard ITP treatments.
