Scientists supercharge Patient's own cells to hunt lymphoma

NCT ID NCT01192464

Summary

This early-phase study tests a new cell therapy for patients whose Hodgkin's or Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma has returned. Doctors take a patient's own immune cells, genetically modify them in a lab to better recognize and attack cancer cells, and then infuse them back. The main goal is to check the safety of different doses and see how long these modified cells survive in the body.
