Scientists reprogram Patients' own cells to hunt down blood cancer

NCT ID NCT03938987

Summary

This study is testing a personalized treatment called CAR T-cell therapy for people with aggressive lymphoma or acute lymphoblastic leukemia that has returned or not responded to standard treatments. Doctors collect a patient's own immune cells, genetically modify them in a lab to better recognize and attack cancer cells, and then infuse them back into the patient. The trial aims to find the safest and most effective dose and see how well this approach controls these difficult-to-treat cancers.
