Doctors test Direct-to-Chest immune cell therapy for tough lung cancers
NCT ID NCT07116057
Summary
This is an early safety study testing a new type of personalized immune cell therapy for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to the lining of the chest. Doctors will collect a patient's own immune cells, modify them in a lab to target a specific protein found on some cancer cells, and then infuse them directly into the chest cavity. The main goals are to see if this approach is safe and feasible, and to get an early look at whether it might help control the cancer.
