Scientists test 'Living Drug' to reset the immune system in lupus and related diseases
NCT ID NCT07085104
Summary
This is a first-in-human study testing the safety and early effectiveness of a new type of cell therapy called ALLO-329 in adults with severe autoimmune diseases like lupus, myositis, and scleroderma. The therapy involves giving patients specially engineered immune cells (CAR T cells) from a donor, designed to target and remove harmful immune cells. The main goal is to see if the treatment is safe and well-tolerated, while also looking for early signs that it can reduce disease activity.
