One-Shot cell therapy tested for devastating brain and nerve autoimmune disorders
NCT ID NCT06939166
Summary
This early-phase study is testing a single infusion of 'universal' CAR T-cells in up to 12 adults with severe, relapsing neurological autoimmune diseases that haven't responded to other treatments. The goal is to see if this one-time cell therapy is safe and can help control conditions like multiple sclerosis and myasthenia gravis by targeting and removing harmful immune B cells. Patients receive chemotherapy beforehand to prepare their body for the new cells.
