First-in-Lupus trial tests 'Living Drug' to reset the immune system

NCT ID NCT06333483

Summary

This is an early-stage safety study testing a new type of treatment called CAR-T cell therapy for people with severe lupus that hasn't responded to other treatments. Doctors will collect a patient's own immune cells, modify them in a lab to target lupus-causing cells, and infuse them back. The main goal is to see if this one-time treatment is safe and tolerable, while also checking for early signs that it might help control the disease.
