New hope for kids with tough blood cancers: experimental cell therapy trial opens
NCT ID NCT06326463
Summary
This study is testing a new type of CAR T-cell therapy for children and young adults (up to age 21) whose blood cancers have come back or haven't responded to standard treatments. The main goal of this early-phase trial is to find a safe and effective dose. Doctors will first give chemotherapy to prepare the body, then infuse the patient's own genetically modified immune cells designed to target a specific marker (CD70) found on their cancer cells.
