Scientists test re-engineered immune cells to fight deadly brain tumors

NCT ID NCT06946680

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether modified immune cells can be safely used to treat aggressive brain tumors in children and adults. Researchers are collecting patients' own immune cells, modifying them to target a specific protein found on tumor cells, and then reinfusing them. The main goals are to determine if this approach is safe and feasible, and to find the appropriate dose for future studies.
