Double-Duty immune attack: new hope for kids with tough cancers

NCT ID NCT07257419

Summary

This study is testing a new two-step treatment for children and young adults with a specific type of leukemia or lymphoma that has come back or hasn't responded to other treatments. First, patients receive a stem cell transplant from a partially matched family donor. Then, they receive an additional boost of specially engineered immune cells (CAR T-cells) designed to target and fight the cancer. The main goal of this early-phase study is to see if combining these two powerful treatments is safe and possible to do.
